Lakers Trade Radmanovic to Bobcats
Posted February 7, 2009 by meekahCategories: Uncategorized

Lakers have pulled a mid-season shocker by sending Vladmir Radmanovic to the Bobcats. I find it surprising that they’re willing to let go of one of their versatile big men, especially with Bynum out for the remainder of the regular season. They acquired struggling forward Adam Morrison and reserve guard Shannon Brown.
Jordan’s first major decision after becoming part owner with the final say on all basketball decisions was taking Morrison with the third overall pick in the 2006 draft.
The former Gonzaga star known in college for his shaggy hair and thin mustache never lived up to expectations, and had fallen out of favor with first-year coach Larry Brown. He was jettisoned for the 6-foot-10 Radmanovic, who was averaging 5.9 points and 2.5 rebounds a game with the Lakers. [NBA]

Washington Wizards Guard Gilbert Arenas, along with 50 children from his Zero Two Hero charity unveiled his wax figure at Madame Tussauds Washington D.C. Arenas posed side-by-side with his wax double and the children, who all donned Washington Wizards’ jerseys for the occasion.
The figure, which sports his signature #0 Washington Wizards home uniform, was donated by Arenas. The figure is part of the attraction’s sports area alongside figures of other legendary athletes, including Evander Holyfield, Tiger Woods, and Babe Ruth. Gilbert is only the 3rd NBA player ever to be waxed, behind Shaquille O’Neal and Michael Jordan.

Here’s one dance squad that truly lives up to its name. The Rockets Power Dancers are laced with more energy than the Energizer bunny indeed. They’re athletic and sexy too. Truth is, all these chicks probably wanted to become actresses before realizing that there aren’t many acting gigs in Houston to go around.

Vince Carter’s Game-Winning Reverse Dunk Against Raptors
Posted November 22, 2008 by meekahCategories: nba
Vince Carter had a monstrous game last night agains the Toronto Raptors. VC dropped a season-high 39 points, grabbed 9 boards, and dished 6 assists on the night. There are probably 10 other NBA players who can score 39 points in a game (Bosh had 42 in the same game), but what separates the Carters and the Bryants from the crowd is timing. Great players step up to the plate and make shots when it counts. For example, one of Carter’s 39 points was a three-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime. As if that wasn’t enough, he then stuffed a game-winning reverse alley-oop dunk as time expired in the extra period to give the Nets a 129-127 win over his old team, the Toronto Raptors. Vince is the man.
